TaiG jailbreak iOS 8.1.1

taiglogoSo everyone got surprised by the chinese team TaiG releasing a new jailbreak tool for iOS 8.1.1. All things all right so far; as usual hacker @i0n1c complains that they stole his exploits (again). But I’m sure you’re not interested in all that drama.

TaiG jailbreak is available for all iDevices running iOS 8.0, 8.0.2, 8.1 and yes, 8.1.1. If you’re a developer, TaiG v.1.0 works with iOS 8.2 beta 1 too. If you’re a regular user, I suggest not installing the beta version of iOS 8.2.

There are a few reasons one would update from iOS 8.1 to iOS 8.1.1 but I won’t get into that right now.

TaiG Windows jailbreak tutorial for iOS 8.1.1:

1. First step is the most crucial step for all jailbreakers: BACKUP your data in the iCloud or in iTunes.

2. Restore your iDevice to iOS 8.1.1. If you updated OTA to iOS 8.1.1 that is. It’s best you have a clean installation of iOS 8.1.1.

3. Now, you can download TaiG jailbreak from here. Extract it afterwards to your desktop (you’ll find a windows executable file titled TaiGJBreak_1010.exe).

4. Ensure that iTunes is installed on your Windows computer; plug your device into your computer and make sure that iTunes recognizes it.

5. As you did with PanGu jailbreak, you need to DISABLE the PassCode Lock, TouchID (where available) and Find My iPhone feature from the Settings menu.

6. Launch the downloaded TaiG executable by right clicking it and selecting “Run as administrator”.

7. Make sure TaiG recognizes your iOS device; uncheck the second box but keep Cydia checked, and then click the green jailbreak button.

8. Wait for TaiG to jailbreak your iDevice. If the jailbreak was applied correctly, you’ll see a smiley face! Your iDevice will reboot now.

9. On your SpringBoard you will see the Cydia icon. Launch it and let it do its stuff.

10. Now you can re-enable your PassCode, TouchID and Find My iPhone feature and safely use your jailbroken iDevice running iOS 8.1.1.
