In 14 countries, Apple has just launched it’s new iPhone 5c with only 8GB of storage to address mid-tier markets where, in its own words, “LTE is becoming more established.” The handset was initially available in only five countries: the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Australia and China.
Starting today, customers can buy the 8GB iPhone 5c, bringing the number of regions where the smaller capacity handset is available to 19 countries. The handset can be bought from Apple’s Online Store in to following countries: Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Italy, Norway, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland. On September 20 this year, Apple launched its new iPhone 5s and 5c in the United States and in ten other major international markets. On October 25 this year Apple will expand the new iPhones market to more that 25 new countries around the world.
One big downside of this expansion – the carriers won’t have enough iPhone 5s’s to fulfill the demand – so if you want one be sure to act fast at your local carrier.
The list of the countries that will get the new iPhones starting 25 this month:
French West Indies
On November 1, both new iPhones will hit Albania, Armenia, Bahrain, Colombia, El Salvador, Guam, Guatemala, India, Macedonia, Malaysia, Mexico, Moldova, Montenegro, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and United Arab Emirates. Read the rest
